RFID

The "History Channel" had a program on how technology was being used in grocery stores. One segment was on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The report left the impression that RFID was not ready for commercial applications in grocery stores. I found it interesting that RFID has been implemented in libraries.

Reflections on Flickr

The "tags" used on Flickr are similar to subject headings used in cataloging. I find it interesting the way the tag that is used the most has the largest font. This is a visual representation of the number of "hits" a search produces.

Easy Habits - Hard Habits

Of the "Habits of Lifelong Learners," the habit that I have found to be the easiest to acquire is Habit #3 "View problems as challenges

The hardest habit is #1 "Begin with the end in mind." I have enjoyed learning new things so much that I have not thought about why I would want to learn more.
