RFID
The "History Channel" had a program on how technology was being used in grocery stores. One segment was on Radio Frequency Identification (RFID). The report left the impression that RFID was not ready for commercial applications in grocery stores. I found it interesting that RFID has been implemented in libraries.
Reflections on Flickr
The "tags" used on Flickr are similar to subject headings used in cataloging. I find it interesting the way the tag that is used the most has the largest font. This is a visual representation of the number of "hits" a search produces.

Easy Habits - Hard Habits
Of the "Habits of Lifelong Learners," the habit that I have found to be the easiest to acquire is Habit #3 "View problems as challenges
The hardest habit is #1 "Begin with the end in mind." I have enjoyed learning new things so much that I have not thought about why I would want to learn more.

7 1/2 Learn
The Public Library of Charlotte and Meckienburg County's "7 1/2 Steps of Highly Successful Lifelong Learners" helped me realize that although I have been a "lifelong learner," I have not set goals or had a purpose in mind while I accumulate knowledge.
